The Editing & Computer Science Laboratory covers specialized educational needs of the Department's Curriculum related to the digitization and processing of audiovisual content and Programming courses. For this purpose, it is equipped with a computer network and projection systems as well as 26 powerful workstations of special specifications so that it can support the simultaneous presence of up to 52 students (2 per PC).
The courses concern digital video editing (professional fidelity), audio, animation and multimedia with the aim of creating cinematic audiovisual content and projects. In addition to the laboratory, two professional editing suites operate in adjacent autonomous rooms for offline and online editing, compositing and color grading with Black Magic Davinci Resolve Studio with 4K screens, MAC PRO processors and Genelec speakers. The suites are used for the final image processing of edited student projects/films.
