AUTOMATION & 3D PRINTING LABORATORY (C204)

The Automation & 3D Printing Laboratory of the Department of Digital Arts and Cinema is a specialized training, research and development space, dedicated to the study and application of automation, robotics and 3D printing technologies. The laboratory aims to promote an interdisciplinary approach between art, technology and science, through the cultivation of design, programming and prototyping skills.

The laboratory's infrastructure includes modern 3D printers, CNC machines, microcontrollers, programmable logic controllers (PLC) as well as a multitude of sensors and tools for the development of interactive applications and installations. Students have the opportunity to experiment with advanced digital fabrication technologies, develop innovative projects and explore new forms of artistic expression through technology.

The laboratory functions as a hub of collaboration between academics, artists and professionals in the field, enhancing research and the production of original works that connect contemporary art with emerging technologies. Through its activity, it contributes substantially to education, innovation and the promotion of digital creativity.
