SYLLABUS
This course emphasizes how to understand how academic research is conducted with the objective of writing a scientific paper. Given the change in the change of the research field in recent years, it is necessary to adapt all individual elements to modern practices, concerning the types of scientific works and their particularities, the planning, organization and structure of a scientific work, the elements and how to develop and write the units of a scientific paper, the methods and digital tools for searching the bibliography, the way of citing bibliographic references, the academic standards of formatting, the rules of ethics and ethics. The language, style, grammatical and syntactic rules that govern a scientific work are of course of primary importance, so that it can be submitted or published meeting the necessary conditions.
The main thematic units of the course (per one or two weeks of teaching) are as follows:
1. The types of scientific research
2. Academic report – thesis
3. The research tools
4. Structure - organization - methodology of scientific work
5. Search for sources - bibliography
6. Bibliography management systems
7. Citation standards (mainly APA)
8. Ethics and deontology
9. Academic language and rules of writing
10. Procedure for publication of scientific works-articles
